ABOUT
With the legalization of cannabis in Canada in October 2018, a significant amount of research to study cannabis is being conducted at academic institutions and government agencies across the country. The purpose of the APPLIED CANNABIS project is to engage cross-sector partners to mobilize cannabis research so it’s more accessible to the general public.
Since 2019, research & development funding has enabled the APPLIED CANNABIS project to identify and interview twenty cannabis researchers in Atlantic Canada. We also plan to collaborate with the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids to identify cannabis researchers from across Canada.
The next step is to create, fund and mobilize their research findings.
